What costs are associated with a visit?
In-person visits are free for K-12 Florida schools within a 90-minute drive of FSU’s campus.
Where is your service region?
Primarily the Big Bend Region. Weekday classroom visits up to 90 minutes away; beyond that is case-by-case.
Can we combine two classes?
No. Activities cannot safely accommodate more than one class at a time.
Must a teacher be present?
Yes. A licensed teacher must be present for the entire activity.
Am I eligible to borrow equipment?
Yes. See Equipment Loans.
In-Person Visits
How far will you travel?
Up to 90 minutes from FSU for weekday classroom visits and equipment loans.
How long do programs last?
Plan at least 45 minutes per class (60 preferred).
Do you provide equipment?
Yes. Some investigations may need ice or water provided on site.
